Chlorinated disinfectants are widely used as disinfectants, and are widely used in the disinfection of tap water, swimming pools and tableware. However, chlorine containing disinfectants will produce a variety of by-products while disinfecting. Therefore, the safety of water by chlorination disinfection is attracting more and more attention. Residual chlorine content is an important index for evaluating the efficacy of water disinfection. In order to restrain the reproduction of bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in the water, after disinfecting the chlorine containing disinfectant for a period of time, there should be adequate amount of residual chlorine in the water to ensure continuous sterilization. But when the excess chlorine content is too high, it is easy to cause second pollution of water quality. It often causes carcinogenic substances, causing hemolytic anemia and so on, which is harmful to human health. Therefore, the effective control and detection of residual chlorine content is very important in water supply treatment.
Commonly used methods for determination of residual chlorine include ortho methylene aniline colorimetric method and ortho methylene aniline arsenite colorimetric method. These methods are complicated and require professional and technical personnel, so they can not meet the requirements of rapid and instant inspection of water quality. This product uses DPD color reagent, with high sensitivity, clear color and stable result. It can effectively detect the residual chlorine content of all kinds of daily water, including water, swimming pool and food and beverage. The detection range is from 0 to 10mg/L.
One, use method and result determination
Take 1mL to be checked in the test tube, and reaction of 2 ~ 3min and standard colorimetric plate control (control, preferably in the pipe lining a piece of paper as the background, to determine the content of residual chlorine). If the liquid chlorine containing more than 0.1mg/L, the solution will change the color of the solution and the content of residual chlorine is proportional to the depth, when the higher content of residual chlorine solution, a purple red purple, finally.

Two. Scope of application
It is suitable for the rapid detection of residual chlorine in tap water, swimming pool and food and beverage.
Three. Detection limit
It is found that when the sample is added to the tube, it shows purple red and quickly fade away. It indicates that the chlorine content in the water may exceed the detection limit of the detection tube. It is recommended to dilute it for 10~1000 times.
The samples exceeding the standard should be confirmed by the standard method.
Five. Conditions of preservation
Room temperature, seal, light, ventilation and dry preservation, the shelf life of 1 years.
